Happy 2010

Welcome back to the Midyear Sting Rays website.  Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and is ready to kickoff the 2010 season with some Classic Corvette fun.  For the new people who joined us last year.  Hope you enjoyed our informal non-club club and will continue to come to our future events.

2009 Recap

2009 was a fun year, starting with the Eagles Nest & Incahoots, the Amador Country Run to Chet & Terrie’s Tri-tip BBQ, American Graffitti Dinner Cruise, Beat the Heat Brunch, and ending with the Chrome Bumper Corral at the Capitol City Cruisers show, just to mention a few.  Click on the following link to see recaps of all the 2009 events - 2009 Recap & Photos. We included the Solid Axle Corvettes in most of our activities last year and plan to do so again.

 Future Events

The Event Planning Committee has put together a schedule for 2010.  Some events are the same and a few new ones have been added.  Chet and Terrie’s BBQ, the Beat the Heat run to Apple Mountain and the Chrome Bumper Corral are being held again. We are also putting together the Cool Classic Corvette Cruise, an Evening ice Cream Social, the Potluck Picnic, and a Fall Colors Cruise.  These events will be coordinated by a member and you will receive e-mails with details, or you can click on the following to see the 2010 event calendar - 2010 Event Calendar. Take a look, because it has a lot of other non-club event that you might be interested in.  Feel free to attend these events as an individual or with a few friends.  Impromptu runs are encouraged and can be a lot of fun, plus a good way to meet new people and enjoy our cars.  If you would like to plan a run with as few as two or as many as twenty cars, just let me know what you want to do.  I will put it on the web site for you.  After it is over, send me some pictures and a write-up and I will post it on the web as an event recap

Hats & Clothing

Hats will again be available for $15 at events.  In addition, this year you can now order a wide variety of clothing with our clubs "MIDYEAR STING RAYS" logo embroidered on them!  We have made special arrangements with Galli Shirts and Sports Apparel who also do the National Corvette Museum embroider work.  Click on the following - ClubStore/GalliShirts  to get instructions on how to order directly from Galli shirts.
