Spring is Here

Our display at the 2005 Autorama looked great and was a lot of fun.  Out of our 10 cars we received two first place, two second place, two third place individual trophies and a third place trophy for our group display.  You can see a recap and photos at the following link 2005Autorama recap&photos.

John Artis is recuperating from back surgery and is looking forward to being well enough to get back to working on his car.  We hope his recovery is swift and to see him and Connie soon.  We are also looking forward to seeing his black '65 roadster with the new paint job and tricked out motor.

 The price of Midyear Corvettes continues to rise.  Following are some average prices compiled form the Barrett Jackson Auction.  Eight '63's sold at an average price of $81,500, one '64 sold at $48,600, nine '65's sold at an average price of $79,700, nine '66's sold at an average price of $123,500, and eight '67's sold at an average price of $131,400.  Even though these are the top of the line Midyears, it is interesting to see what kind of prices they bring.

April 24, - Fork to Fork.  For our first 2005 event, meet at Jaspers in Rocklin at 9:00 AM.  We will caravan along the foothill back roads and Hwy 49 to Georgetown for lunch.  For info call Larry at (503) 621-3385.

 May 15, - Tri-Tip BBQ.  For this popular event, meet at Starbucks, 4311 Town Center Blvd. El Dorado Hills, CA at 9:00 AM ( just South of Hwy. 50 off Latrobe Road ).  We will caravan along the foothill back roads and Hwy 49 to Chet & Terri's beautiful home for a great BBQ.  Side dish required, check with Terrie at (209) 296-5104.   For all other info call Steve at (916) 966-0513.

 May 22, - Early Corvette River tour & Isleton Show II.  The Capital City Solid Axle Club will again join us for this fun outing along the river road from Sacramento to Isleton's Hotel Del Rio for a special BBQ and Corvette display.   Last year we filled the main street of Isleton with 46 Early Corvettes.  Let's do it again!  A $10.00 all-inclusive fee will be required by May 18 for those having lunch with us.  June 4, - Vette Magic Corvette Show. All Corvette Car Show at the Marriott Hotel (Sunrise & Folsom Blvds. near Hwy 50).  Enter your car for judging, display only or just go to look.  Info (925) 699-2564
