NEWSLETTER January 2005 |
Happy New Year
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and are ready to take on 2005. The New Year has brought some management changes to the Midyear Sting Rays. Mark Davidson has stepped down from his leadership roll with the group. His innovative concept of midyear Corvette owners coming together without having a formal structure is a success. We have been getting together to show off our cars and have a good time without the hassle of meetings, dues and the club politics. Thank you Mark, for coming up with this great idea and for all your hard work in putting the group together. Without you, the rest of us would still be saying “let’s get a midyear group together” but never actually doing anything about it. Thanks again!
Mark has asked me (Steve McFarland) to step in and coordinate the group. Along with help from the event planning committee, I have agreed. The committee includes the following people: Nyle & Kathleen Baker, John & Connie Artis, Mel & Marlene Rose, Larry & Sharron Luck, Clete & Freddie Nezbeth, Raul & Pat Castellanos & my wife Debbie. We will continue with the informal structure that Mark set up, although we are open to any new ideas on how we can make the group better. If you have any suggestions or would like to be part of the event planning committee, please contact me.
Last year we had several really great events, met some new people and had a lot of fun. This year we hope to repeat some of the events plus add some new ones. Stay tuned!
The only thing presently on the Event Calendar is our Midyear display at the February 4, 5, & 6, 2005 Autorama.
