Happy Hot Sacramento Summer
2005 Recap
We have had several fun and successful events so far this year. We started with the 2005 Sacramento Autorama in February, Fork to Fork in April, Tri-Tip BBQ and Early Corvette River Tour to Isleton in May and the Midsummer Evening Ice Cream Social on a very very hot July night. Several more events are in the planning stage for this summer and fall, see "Future Events" below.
Godfather of Midyear Sting Rays Moving
Mark and Karen Davidson are moving to Santa Rosa, California. Mark's concept of midyear owners coming together informally like we do has been a great success. Without his innovative ideas and all his hard work, the Midyear Sting Rays would not exist.
We look forward to Mark and Karen joining us when they can. Maybe even bring some new Midyear enthusiasts with them.
Midyear Project Car Report
John Artis has recovered from his back surgery and is putting his newly painted 65 roadster back together.
Clete Nezbeth is almost complete with painting his 67 roadster and hopes to start putting it back together this fall.
Greg Dill has added custom fuel injection to his already hot 63 big block coupe.
Steve McFarland has finally got paint on his 66 coupe.
Bob Hurdle is repainting his 67 roadster and will have it back on the road soon.
Mel & Marlene Rose averted a breakdown by having their transmission and clutch worked on. They were only a few miles from a major failure.
