Our Empire Mine outing was very nice with weather great and the drive beautiful via highway 174 through Colfax.  We had 12 Midyear Corvettes attend with a bonus of a public caravan that traveled through the Roamin’n Angel’s car show in Grass Valley.  That is a very beautiful location for a classic car event and we may consider a group display on next year’s Saturday display (600 cars were there).

The Serrano Concours on October 2nd was a lot of fun to participate in as a club.  Thanks to Steve McFarland, John Artis, Mel Rose and all the other Midyear members that helped out. Hopefully we will be able to continue this in future years as Group volunteers and be associated with a first class automobile display.  Great weather!

I’m sure everyone now has received the news that the October Automobile magazine has declared that the Midyear Sting Ray is the “Coolest of the Cool” in their recent survey of the 100 Coolest cars to own, which includes both classic, exotics, and new cars.  Please add another $5,000 to $10,000 to your sales price if you should sell your car ( but remember our group’s rule that you can not sell a Midyear unless you immediately buy another Midyear!).

Final Events for 2004
