Event Recap & Photos April 26, 2009 Amador Gold Country Run & Tri-Tip BBQ Annual Chet & Terrie’s – BBQ & Gold Country - Tour was absolutely perfect! Many, many BIG thanks to our hosts for another fantastic event. After our start from El Dorado Hills, we traversed through the green foothill back roads sprinkled with colorful wild flowers to the quaint town of Volcano along Sutter Creek (the water) to then connect with six other Midyears from the Bay Area. The next stop was at near-by Indian Grinding Rocks Historic State Park for a chance to “go back in time”. Can you imagine what those native Americans might have thought if they could have greeted our caravan at their village a few hundred years ago? What a great Photo-Op as we lined up 20 of the World’s most beautiful classic cars in their parking lot. The huge selection of food contributions along with the fabulous BBQ tri-tip and chicken and home-made chili was hard for anyone to resist. The driveway car display at Chet and Terrie’s is also something that makes this such a tremendous location and fun excursion. Feast your eyes on the food and the cars! The weather could not have been better. After this tummy-extending luncheon experience, a few “brave” souls stopped at Amador City for an extreme ice cream make-over. Below are some photos of the event (click on photo to enlarge)
