Event Recap & Photos Midyear Napa Valley Wine Train
The Corvette
Wine Train left Davis at 9 A.M. with Mel & Marlene, Steve & Clete, Scott &
Jeanine, Jim & Selma and Nyle & Kathleen driving five of the best looking
Midyear Corvettes. We headed to historic Winters for our first break at Steady
Eddy's Coffee House. After the break we continued towards the Napa Valley via
the Silverado Trail by beautiful Berryessa Lake. What a gorgeous ride this
time of year! Eventually after motoring through the back country we arrived
at Neibaum-Coppolla Winery. What a beautiful and unique winery this is with a
museum of Francis Coppolla's movie memorabilia and a Tucker car from the
movie, "The Tucker".
After the winery
we all cruised to Yountville for lunch at Compadres Bar & Grill and some of us ordered the "Best Damn
Enchiladas you've ever eaten, period ",with some spirits. After lunch there were a few of us in search of dessert and others wanted to shop in the 1870's
mall, guess which wanted to do what.
It was soon
after the dessert and shopping that we started heading home and realized what
a great day we had and the things we saw in a short period of time. It was a
small group but we had a lot of giggles, fun together enjoying our cars,
scenery and each other.
