Club Overview

Midyear Sting Rays
1963 to 1967 Corvettes only

The Sacramento, California based Midyear Sting Rays association was started by a group of 1963 thru 1967 Corvette Sting Ray enthusiasts interested in getting together with like-minded collectors without having many rules or meetings. This informal arrangement that has occasional social car displays and scenic outings via Central Valley and Gold Country back roads, also strives to help others in their restoration process. As an unincorporated association, the group could best be described as a group of friends having some fun with their beautiful Corvettes.

If you would like to participate in an outing, click on the Event Calendar to see what is scheduled, give us a call to RSVP and then just show up.  You do not have to join anything, attend meetings or pay dues.  All Midyear Corvettes enthusiasts are welcome.

The Midyear Sting Ray Corvettes were built from 1963 through 1967 and are the second generation of  the Corvette (C2) and the first generation of the  Sting Ray.  It was a milestone in American sports car development with its distinctive fiberglass styling and racing inspired engineering innovations.  They were also the fastest production cars (especially with the awesome 427 cubic inch option) available to the general public in the pre-muscle car era of the mid 1960's.

Today these beautiful sports cars still stand out as a tribute to the speed and design achievements of General Motors and are arguably one of the most collectible of any of the Chevrolet Corvettes produced in the last fifty years.

Automobile Magazine has the Midyear Sting Ray Corvette as the number one coolest car in America.  They say, it is the coolest of the cool because it embodies America's post war optimism and creativity in a glorious piece of rolling sculpture that's bold, brash, loud and fast, all rolled into a single package.
